Mountain Man Triathlons started in 1984 and remain one of the longest-standing triathlons in the West — a hometown Flagstaff race with that local feel, medals and shirts for finishers, and a course that looks out on Lake Mary, Mormon Lake, and the San Francisco Peaks. This page is the Olympic specialty kit: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run at the Upper Lake Mary Boat Launch and Picnic Area, about 10–11 miles south of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Rd at Mile Post 333.
It is not Short Trail Day. It is not Expedition Africa. It is not a gravel mixed run. This is a swim/bike/run closet for a USAT-sanctioned Olympic at a high-country reservoir — Maverick wetsuit for a 68–71°F lake morning, an endurance road bike for Lake Mary Rd shoulders, Arahi for the paved 10K climb, and a Watch Desk that can actually do multisport.
